Kids really make the holidays so much fun...Harper's first Christmas was the best. Matt and I decided that it is time for us to start our own family traditions, some that we will carry on from our childhood and others we will start fresh. One of our first traditions is a new tree skirt with Harper's hand print every year. I picked up some red felt from Hobby Lobby, some gold trim, fabric paint, and a fabric marker....here it is:
We did all of our hand prints but will only do Harper's in the future.
Every year my mom, sister inlaw, and I go to the Southern Christmas Show, this year the top of the priority was Harper's first ornament. I should have taken a picture but I didn't so here is doodle putting her ornament on the tree:
This year was the first year that my family has not all gathered at my mom's house (maw-maw) on Christmas Eve. Harper goes to bed so early, we decided to stay home and have my mom stay the night with us. Instead of the tradition Christmas Eve dinner, we made pizza and chicken wings...weird I know. You can find the pizza recipe here on The Wanna-be-Southern Belle blog...thanks Melrose.

Here is the best present of all:
Stay tuned for our trip to Cleveland and what we have been doing during the 68 degree weather in January. Oh and our first trip to the Discovery Place Kids.
