Being from Charlotte, I have spent lots of time in Myrtle Beach, Matt says I take it for granted being so close. I always tell him that I can't believe that they used to drive 10 hours just to get to Myrtle Beach, but they did. I have many great memories of Myrtle Beach at different phases of my life, childhood, teenager, young adult, and now being a parent. WOW, how things have changed. Matt and I look forward to creating many great memories with Harper. My mom decided to make the trip with us. She loves spending time with her 1st grand daughter. I have so many great memories with my grand parents, and I want Harper to have the same thing. She loves her Maw Maw!
Our first day there we decided to meet up with our friends Jenny and Charles, and their daughter, Scarlett for lunch and to see their new beach house, which is very cute.
Harper can not get her eyes off of her daddy!
We packed up all of our towels, sunscreen, and cooler to head to the beach, only to pack them back up and head to the pool after only 20 minutes (if that). Harper only lasted about 20 minutes at the ocean. But is was a great 20 minutes, I love seeing her face as she is taking in all of the new scenery.
My favorite time of the trip, every morning we would make coffee and head out for a walk on the beach. Harper would wake up around 6:30 am (no sleeping in on va-cay), she would eat, and we would go. I don't know what it is about the ocean that made her so tired, but it worked. We would walk about 30-40 minutes and she would come back to nap for hours.
This is one of my fav pictures.
ALSO..... Two years ago today I married the most wonderful man. I am so lucky to have you in my life and look forward to many many happy years together. Happy 2nd Anniversary!
Nothing better than family beach trips! Happy Anniversary xoxo
